Most families pay too much in health insurance. Most doctors pay too much in malpractice premiums. The only way to solve both of these problems is through comprehensive health insurance reform. Anything short of comprehensive health insurance reform is like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound.

Many in the health insurance industry like the status quo, as they profit from it. Therefore, to get the reform we need, we will have to fight to get government out of the pocket of the powerful insurance lobby. This must be done before Pennsylvania loses any more doctors who are fleeing the state. We must also ensure that those patients who are legitimately harmed by bad doctors do not lose their legal rights.
